We all hope we will get the right supervisor for our needs but unfortunately for many trainees they get assigned the wrong person who just doesn't understand them or doesn't have the time to understand them. A good supervisor is someone who understands not only where the trainee is but where they started and where they want to get to. A good supervisor isn't someone who thinks things need to be done the way they were trained but instead understands how today's trainees have different challenges and priorities.  I offer mentoring who a number of trainees who various reasons both short and long term. Whether you are going through a difficult time at work, need guidance with your career or returning from maternity leave, you may benefit from mentoring.
